If you have something to say "soon" about why it's taking so long - it means you already know exactly why it's taking so long.
A lot of them are due to bad planning and poor development progress. But each and every delay isn't automatically the best possible outcome due to reality. Does this mean we have to be positive when it comes to a completely opaque communications structure for this community-financed game? Do we have to appreciate that it's taken them 6 years with an established engine and a complete blueprint for all levels and game design elements - when it originally took 2 years for Looking Glass to build absolutely everything from scratch, including the engine itself - back in 1994?īecause I'm not sure I would agree with that.Īs for the "reality of game development" - that doesn't automatically excuse incompetence and snail-like progress.ĭelays are common, sure.
